Head coach Lee Mitchell has strengthened his side with three new signings and two players stepping-up from City’s U23 side.
Mitchell is pleased with the progression he has seen from Holly Wilson and Jodie Steadman who have both made the transition from the U23 side into the first team.
He said: “They both performed consistently in the U23 team in training and matches. We gave them the opportunity to join the first team training sessions and then latterly in the matchday squad. The pair of them have both done very well so far.”
Mitchell also welcomes three new signings into his side. Defender Chloe Bailey arrives from Northampton Town alongside her sister, Ella, from Leicester City’s WSL Academy. The final arrival sees midfielder Faith Horner join from Peterborough Sports.
Mitchell added: “Sisters Chloe and Ella have both been at the Leicester Academy. Chloe is a left-footed left back and Ella is an attacking midfielder. They are good additions to our squad.
“Faith is a good defensive player who despite her young age brings experience into our squad. We are excited to have her as part of our team.”
Leaving the Imps is defender Eden Pedersen and forward Jess Rousseau who both depart City with the best wishes of the club as they join Grimsby Borough Ladies and Leeds United Women respectively.
