Carl Rushworth has praised the collective effort of the team following four clean sheets in a row.
After Saturday’s match against Bristol Rovers, City have currently gone more than 400 minutes of football without conceding a goal which Rushworth is pleased with.
He said: “When I talked to Brighton at the start of the season about personal goals, I told them I wanted to beat the amount of clean sheets I got last season.
“I have to put it down to how strong we are defensively, because I haven't had a lot to do in some of the games where we have secured clean sheets in.
“Some of the credit has to go to the defence for putting their bodies on the line and making my job easier.”
City are heading to Pride Park with the backing of over 2,100 Imps supporters, which Rushworth is looking forward to.
He added: “Their support is a massive help. It showed on Saturday the help they gave us - they are our twelfth man.
“Especially at the end of the game when it was 1-0 and could’ve gone either way, they really pushed us on for us to see the game out.
“2,000 fans is a lot to be travelling to support us on a Tuesday night.”
