After being out injured since the beginning of last year Lewis Montsma helped City secure a third clean sheet on his return to the team.
The Imps bounced back to winning ways on Saturday with a 3-0 triumph at Accrington Stanley and Montsma has expressed how pleased he was to be back amongst it.
He said: “I have worked really hard to get to where I am now. I want to thank the physios at Lincoln, everyone at the club, as well as my family and friends for being there for me in what was a tough time.
“I have dealt with it and I’m very happy to be back now.”
The Dutchman slotted into a well-drilled defence which saw the Imps go another game without conceding a single goal.
Montsma added: “I’m happy with the clean sheet and happy to play the full game. I thought we played well.
“Defensively we have been very good in previous games, but it was the last bit to score the goals and get the ball in the net, which we did well today.”
