Mark Kennedy believes his January signings have settled into the group well.
City introduced four new faces into the squad last month, and despite some of the arrivals being a part of the group for a week, City’s head coach was full of praise for the way they have integrated themselves into the group.
He said: “It’s always difficult when you come into a new environment because the people who were already here are cracking on with their lives, and everything is new and different for those who arrive at the group, and so it puts them outside of their comfort zone.
“They’re living away from home and there are multiple emotions they go through, but all the lads have settled in well. We make a big deal in our first introductory meeting with the group to make sure they feel loved and I can’t compliment the group enough.
“How they are as people creates an environment that would make anyone feel welcome.”
With a busy fixture schedule throughout February, Kennedy is hopeful his side can back up Saturday’s strong performance against Accrington Stanley with a strong run of results.
He added: “We need more wins, particularly at home, but I can say in every game this year we have come out of our home games with at least a point.
“There’s lots of ways you can look at form, but ultimately we want more wins and I keep telling the lads not to underestimate the importance of points because losing games knocks confidence, it’s impossible for it not too. We haven’t lost many all year and now we need more wins.”
