Mark Kennedy believes the City supporters have a big part to play in Tuesday evening’s test at Derby County.
More than 2,200 Imps fans will be making the trip to Pride Park and Kennedy understands it will require a joint effort from his players and away support to secure a third straight win.
He said: “The away support has really been eye-catching. They have such a huge influence on the team and their efforts do not go unnoticed.
“It has been really pleasing and I am very proud of the connection the fans and players have together. A standout for me so far this season has been the togetherness between the two groups.”
Kennedy is also pleased with the strong defensive displays following four clean sheets in a row and has insisted that the whole team deserves credit for this record.
He added: “Clean sheets are massive and they give you a foundation to build on, so that to me is really important.
“I feel most of the time Carl Rushworth has a quiet game and that is testament to the 10 players in front of him.”
