Mark Kennedy has praised the way Ben House marked his return to the team with a goal.
House netted his eighth league goal of the season with a spectacular first-time finish in City’s 1-1 draw at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
Kennedy said: “I think Ben House is awesome and is one of the best strikers in the league.
“His goal at Forest Green must be a goal of the month contender and for anybody that was not there, he was struggling with illness.
“He made us not take him off during the game because he was unbelievable in and out of possession.”
The Imps are now seven games unbeaten in Sky Bet League One which is something Kennedy thinks highlights the progression his team has made since the start of the campaign.
He continued: “The unbeaten run is something we are very proud of. I don’t think we have drawn any game that we haven’t deserved at least a point in.
“The only three teams in the league that have lost fewer games than us are the top three in the division, and that tells you what a good team we are.
“I look at where we are now in comparison to the start of the season and think that we are in a healthy position.”
