Mark Kennedy has praised the backing of the Imps faithful following the biggest home attendance of the season.
Kennedy hopes that Brian Anderson, one of three new investors, was impressed by the noise created by the close to capacity crowd at the LNER Stadium.
He said: “I have no doubts they would have really enjoyed the game and a lot of that would have been down to the atmosphere in the ground.
“The fans have turned out in their numbers again and have continued their support that they have given us all season, especially after the Derby game.
“It is easy to talk about the football but the atmosphere is created by the people that come and follow us every week.”
The Imps continued their strong defensive record with a fifth clean sheet in the last six matches, which is something Kennedy has praised his side for.
He continued: “It is a great credit to the group that by the time the next home game comes around we’ll be at the end of February and still unbeaten at home.
“We have had a lot of clean sheets and I don’t think anybody can walk away from a game at the LNER Stadium this season where they felt like they should have won.
“I think in every game at home the minimum we have deserved is a draw and I thought that was evident against Portsmouth.”
