Kamson-Kamara signs first pro deal

First-year scholar Michael-John Kamson-Kamara has signed a long-term contract to commit his future to the club.

Kamara was joined by his parents to pen the deal on his 17th birthday last week before taking part in the warm-up that evening as City took on Derby County at Pride Park.

Director of football Jez George said: “MJ has taken every challenge in his stride since signing for the club and has enjoyed a brilliant diet of youth team and B team fixtures this season.  He has real potential, he has earned this first professional contract and has shown an outstanding mindset in all aspects of his scholarship.

“MJ has really exciting attributes, so we are delighted that he has committed to the club for the long-term and trusted us with the next phase of his development at Lincoln City.

“I would also like to thank Lai at XYZ Academy who provides opportunities at professional clubs to so many young players and helped us to sign MJ as a scholar last summer.”
