Join City’s Green Leaders programme

Lincoln City Foundation’s Green Leaders programme is starting up again on Friday 3 February, which also links with EFL’s Green Football Weekend.

The programme was a success last year and aims to develop young people’s sustainability, leadership and creativity skills.

Kate O’Reilly, Lincoln City Foundation community manager, said: "After acknowledging the strengths and weaknesses from our previous Green Leaders programme, we have rebranded it into PL Kicks Protect the Planet.

"The mission in both remains the same - inspiring our young people to become more sustainable through being environmentally conscious.

"For our programme, we will be working with those that attend our PL kicks sessions at the stadium every Friday from 6pm to 7.30pm. We will be doing activities with all our participants but specifically with our young people aged between 14 and 18.

“Through workshops and activities they will understand the different concepts and strands of sustainability, in order to implement it in a social action project at the end. We also hope to see if they can produce ideas to ensure that the club can also become more sustainable."

If you are between the ages of 14 and 18 and would like to take part in the next Green Leader programme, or if you would like to volunteer to help the Green Leaders, please email GreenLeaders@lincolncityfoundation.co.uk
