City’s Ethan Erhahon was impressed by the backing of the City faithful as he experienced the LNER Stadium support for the first time.
The Imps’ 1-0 win completed the double over the Gas this season, and the midfielder believes the support inside the LNER Stadium helped the side over the line.
He said: “It was good to make my home debut and pick up three points with a clean sheet.
“I’ve heard a lot about the atmosphere and it was great to experience it. I really felt the support and they pushed throughout the match, particularly during those final few minutes.”
The Scotland U21 international was pleased with the fast start City made to the match and iseager to continue that in upcoming fixtures.
He added: “The head coach wants us to have real intensity and get supporters off their seats and involved with the game. We did that and got after the opposition and that’s what we need to be about.
“We could have scored one or two more and made it more comfortable for ourselves, but at the end of the day we still kept that clean sheet and continued our strong home form.”
