Ted Bishop is enjoying his run in the side alongside Ethan Erhahon in the midfield.
City’s No.10 has been ever present in the Imps’ unbeaten run, which now stretches to seven games, and believes the partnership he has with the Scotsman has been key to that.
Bishop said: “I’m really enjoying my football at the minute. Since Ethan Erhahon’s arrival we’re unbeaten, and I know he his is going to sit there for me which gives me the license to get forward and create chances.
“I think I did that in the last few games and so I hope that continues. The aim now is to kick on and play until the end of the season and give me something to build on ahead of next season.”
Bishop played the best part of 80 minutes in City’s 1-1 draw with Forest Green Rovers and wants his side to become more ruthless ahead of Tuesday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against MK Dons.
He added: “I thought we had enough to beat our opponents today and after going one goal up, we needed the second to kill them off but we just didn’t manage that.
“We know how important the second goals are in these matches and so we have to be more ruthless. However, I thought everyone did a job today, especially Carl Rushworth right at the end.”
