Michael Skubala is continuing to learn more about his side heading into a busy festive period.
City’s head coach is enjoying the time he has to work with his players on the training pitch and wants to see the benefits of this heading into a knockout fixture against Accrington Stanley.
He said: “Whenever we go out to the training pitch or play games, you can see what the players are good at and what they are confident with. I’m trying to help them improve every day.
“Throughout the week we’ll have to freshen things up within the squad with three challenging games coming up.”
The Imps travel to the Wham Stadium on Tuesday knowing victory would set up a home fixture against Bristol Street Motors Trophy holders Bolton Wanderers in the last 16.
He added “Accrington is a really difficult place to go and play football, we’ll have to be at our best to go and get a result.”
