Michael Skubala wants his players to dig deep after a frustrating night against Northampton Town.
TJ Eyoma’s second half goal looked to spark a comeback but it wasn’t to be as the Cobblers held on for a 2-1 win.
He said: “The players were frustrated but we have to keep digging deep.
“I thought we started the game well in terms of being on the front foot and aggressive, but the goal took the wind out of us.”
Skubala was once again pleased by the City supporters who made themselves heard as the Imps looked to level the game late on.
He added: “I thought the fans were brilliant, we were trying to push the game at 2-1 and they were right behind us.”
