Jovon Makama has been enjoying the chance to prove himself after appearing in three consecutive games for the Imps.
The young striker impressed off the bench against Leyton Orient and was then rewarded with the chance to lead the line against Barnsley and Cambridge United.
Makama said: “It’s been good, I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve settled into the team, and the lads have been really good with me coming in.
“I’ve still got a lot of learning to do but I think I’ve handled it well, and now we go onto the next game.”
Makama has also been grateful for the guidance he has received from his team-mates this season.
He added: “With Ben House and Reeco Hackett being injured I kind of looked at it as an opportunity to prove myself and get in the team.
“I have a good relationship with them. We go through things that they’ve watched from the games, and they’re really supportive.
“Other players in the team also help such as Ethan Hamilton and Ethan Erhahon - with them being behind me on the pitch they’re always talking to me and helping me.”
