Imps supporters have voted overwhelmingly in favour of reverting to the iconic badge design used by the club during the eighties and early nineties.
City’s board of directors proposed the change following positive feedback to the limited reintroduction of the badge, with fans given the say through a consultation period.
They believe it will provide greater marketing and commercial opportunities, while also being a respectful nod to the club’s history.
A majority of eligible supporters, 77.17%, voted in favour of reverting to this design.
The club will now provide evidence of the vote to the relevant authorities and Fan Advisory Board, with the aim being to implement the design change ahead of the 2024/25 season.
This is a real milestone moment for the club.
