City take festive trip to Lincoln Hospital

City's first-team squad helped spread some festive cheer by visiting patients at Lincoln County Hospital.

The players donated money to buy gifts, which they - along with head coach Michael Skubala - distributed along to patients in the Scampton, Rainforest and Safari wards.

Players donned festive hats and spoke to patients, family members and staff at the hospital to help put a smile on their faces during a difficult time.

Gary Burr, charity fundraiser for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “It was great to welcome Lincoln City to the hospital at Christmas and see the club supporting the local community.

“The visit went really well, with head coach Michael Skubala and his players meeting patients across three different wards in the hospital. The joy it gave to the patients and staff was great and has made a lasting impact on them all.”

Katie Still, from Scampton Ward, said: "Thank you so much Lincoln City everyone on the ward loved it - it created such a buzz and the patients loved it."
