Ted Bishop has enjoyed having a run of games in the team over the festive period following some time out on the sideline.
The midfielder has featured in all of City’s fixtures in December after spending a few weeks out of the team, but is now ready to kick on into the new year.
He said: “Having a run of games is massive. I have played around four games in two weeks which is something I haven’t done in a long time, and I actually feel really good.
“I enjoy playing in the middle of the pitch and I think I’ve shown I can play there in recent weeks. I am getting fitter every game and enjoying it at the moment. The fact that I have put this run together really bodes well for the new year.”
City’s next test in Sky Bet League One is a trip to Blackpool on New Year’s Day, and Bishop is going into the match with a lot of belief that his side can take something from the game.
He continued: “Now is the time to stick together and keep trying to put in performances, and hopefully it will all turn.
“They are all tough games, but we will be going to Blackpool to try and get the win. We believe we can beat them having done so earlier in the season.
“We know if we turn up and everyone plays well then we have a really good chance of winning.”
