Mark Kennedy is looking forward to a challenging test at newly-promoted Notts County on Tuesday night.
City are in Carabao Cup first round action at Meadow Lane but despite the difference in competition from Saturday’s fixture, Kennedy is approaching the game like any other.
He said: “We approach every game the same, football is about fine margins. We’ll respect the opposition, they had an incredible season last year.”
The head coach is expecting a test from the Magpies but has made it clear his side are going with the aim of progressing further in the competition.
He added: “It’ll be a tough game on Tuesday, but we’ll approach it the same. We’re going there to get through to the next round.”
