Jensen happy with consecutive clean sheets

Lukas Jensen was happy to keep a second consecutive clean sheet as City beat Blackpool 3-0 at the LNER Stadium.

Jensen has already recorded three shutouts this season, and made several good saves to ensure the Imps saw out victory against the previously unbeaten Tangerines.

He said: “I think we showed our class today. It was a tough first 15 minutes but once we got the penalty, we settled a little bit.

“To get a clean sheet and the win, there’s not much else you can ask for. It’s fun winning, but to get a clean sheet on top of that is why I’m there, and hopefully I can keep doing my job and get many more clean sheets.”

Jensen was particularly pleased that his side scored a third in the second half to kill off the game.

He added: “We know how difficult a 2-0 advantage can be, we learned that against Northampton, so we definitely didn’t want to repeat that.

“So, to get the last goal definitely settled the game, it was a very good performance from the team, and I’m happy for everyone.”
