Lukas and Lasse dish out tickets

Participants in the Foundation’s Extra Time Hub were given a surprise this week when Lukas Jensen and Lasse Sorensen invited them to City’s first home game of the season.

Lukas and Lasse handed out tickets as part of the new Imps For All scheme which has seen supporters purchase Gold Memberships, which the Foundation will distribute to people who would otherwise be unable to attend games.

They visited Wednesday’s Extra Time Hub, which brings people down to the LNER Stadium on a weekly basis to help increase social interaction for over anyone who is retired, semi-retired or approaching retirement.

The Foundation’s head of healthier communities Alice Carter said: “The players joined the session, meeting new people and handing out tickets, as well as taking part in some of the games and activities we offer."

“The Imps for All scheme will be incredible for us this season, the opportunity to give the groups we engage with a chance to come to the games, when they normally couldn’t is really powerful for us.”

Lasse said: “We need to get the community together and it was nice to talk to some new people. It was also a really good experience to give some tickets out to some people that might not normally come to the games.”

Lukas added: “It’s always great to interact with the fans on and off the pitch or on a day like this when we can meet some new people that might not come to the games, and get them here in the future.”
