Ash Foyle was pleased with the improvements his side made despite falling to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Bradford City on Saturday.
Foyle’s side came away with nothing in their fixture against the Bantams in spite of a battling display against a top side.
He said: “Friday was a much improved performance against a very good team. We showed good fight and intensity, which we’ve missed recently. We were unfortunate not to get anything out of the game.”
Foyle also thought his team created plenty of opportunities to get a result which he believes is something to build on heading into the next few matches.
He added: “We feel disappointed that we did not get the result we deserved as we fought hard and created opportunities but we just lacked the final moment of quality.”
“Hopefully this is the start of a run of more promising performances as the expectation level of this group is high.”
