Lasse Sørensen’s wonder goal from his own half helped secured three points for the Imps in Buckinghamshire.
The Dane, who scored his first goal of the season against Port Vale earlier in the month, added another against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
Lasse said: “It’s funny because first of all I had turned my back to their goalkeeper, but then Regan started shouting my name so I had to look the other way.
“The ball came to me and it’s just instinct. I took a touch and saw the keeper was a way out so I thought I might as well try. It’s one of them where you hit it and you sort of know straight away it will go in.
“I’m very happy about it and I enjoyed the moment - it will probably be the best goal of my career.”
Sørensen also praised team-mate Dylan Duffy who put the Imps into an early lead in the first half with his first goal for City.
He added: “Dylan is a very good player. I’ve played against him at wing-back a lot in training and he’s been giving me a tough time.
“He’s quick, he’s strong so we’ve seen that for a while on the training pitch. I’m very happy for him.”
