Mark Kennedy is delighted for Lasse Sorensen as the Dane put in a Man of the Match performance at Home Park on Easter Monday.
City’s No.21 has been operating as a right-wing-back in recent weeks, and Kennedy believes Sorensen’s standout performance against Plymouth Argyle is a reflection of his hard work.
He said: “Lasse is an outstanding athlete and an incredible pro, but he’s also a true gentleman and a lovely man.
“I have a huge amount of respect for him. I think he can be a really good wing-back, his athleticism really allows him to stretch the pitch, and he’s going from strength to strength.”
Kennedy was also keen to voice his appreciation for the 381 Imps who took the near 600 mile round-trip to back his side in Devon.
He added: “I want to say a huge thank you to the fans from all the players and staff because the lads are really respectful of their support.
“There are a lot of great results we have had this season and I know we wouldn’t have had secured them without their support.”
Catch the Imps at the LNER Stadium on Saturday as they face Port Vale!
