Scully completes Wigan move

Anthony Scully has completed a move to Sky Bet Championship side Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee, with the Imps retaining a future interest in the player.

The 23-year-old forward joined City from Premier League side West Ham on a free transfer in January 2020.

Scully made a total of 106 appearances for City, scoring 37 goals.

Director of football Jez George said: “We expected the potential departure of Anthony during this window which is why we have signed Charles Vernam, Danny Mandroiu, Jordon Garrick and Jack Diamond.

“Anthony is an example of why young players wish to sign for our club. He has been given the platform to play senior football for the first time in his career, and now follows the likes of Harry Toffolo, Jorge Grant and Tayo Edun in taking the step up into the Championship.”

Everyone at the club would like to place on record our thanks to Anthony for his contribution at Lincoln City and wish him all the best for his future.
