Midfielder Jacob Davenport has joined City on a short-term contract until January.
The 23-year-old started his youth career at Manchester City before having a loan spell at Burton Albion in their maiden season in the Championship.
Davenport signed for Blackburn Rovers on a permanent deal in 2018 before his contract expired with the Lancashire club earlier this summer.
The midfielder said: “I’m buzzing - I’ve trained with the club for the past four weeks, so I’m just delighted to have it sorted.
“I know the manager well having worked with him previously at Manchester City, so I am familiar with the way he wants to play football.
“I’ve been shown around and the facilities are amazing. I can’t wait to get the shirt on, be playing in front of the supporters and get going.”
Jacob Davenport will wear the number 25 shirt for City and is eligible to play on Tuesday evening versus Derby County.
