Mark Kennedy insists that his side remain focused as they look to attack a new month of fixtures.
The Imps suffered their first defeat in five matches on Saturday and Kennedy has encouraged his players to maintain their balanced approach whilst they aim to begin a new unbeaten run.
He said: “I am feeling very positive. We never get carried away when we win and we do not get carried away when we lose either. We give balanced reflections on any game.
“We just have to focus on what we are trying to do, which is what we have done all year. There is lots of room for growth within the squad but we are all happy with where we are, and I see good times ahead.”
Kennedy fully understands the task his side will be facing on Tuesday night as they look to bounce back to winning ways when Accrington Stanley visit the LNER Stadium.
He added: “We are really respectful to the opposition and I have seen Accrington play live personally. We watched a lot of footage and I think they have very good players.
“John Coleman has a brilliant reputation in the game. They are a really honest group of players who are technically solid. We will treat this game like any other game and I am expecting a really tough evening.
“I do not get caught up in what the table looks like. I have no doubts whatever happens after the game, we will come away from it thinking that was incredibly tough.”
