Mark Kennedy is demanding another strong performance on the road as his side aims for a fifth match unbeaten.
The head coach has praised City’s character in recent away games and insists that his side use this positivity to build on heading into Tuesday evening’s fixture at Barnsley.
He said: “One of the hardest things to do in football is to win games, especially away from home. It is so difficult and we seem to have excelled on the road this year which I am pleased about, because it says a lot about the character of the group.
“It also shows the fearlessness of going away from home and embracing that. I do think we have massively tightened up when playing away and if we can add those characteristics to our home form, then it will make a big difference.”
Kennedy also recognises the challenges that Barnsley will pose to his side at Oakwell as he looks for back-to-back away wins in Sky Bet League One.
He added: “I think that they are an excellent side and have brilliant individual players. Michael Duff is a super defensive coach and can be a difficult team to break down.
“Barnsley are very good collectively and I think it will be as tough a game as we have had all season. We will be going there with the mindset of winning the game of football.”
City supporters can watch Kennedy’s side in a way which suits them with a silver or bronze pass which are available to purchase HERE.
