TJ Eyoma is taking pride from his recent performances which has seen him close in on a century of City appearances.
Should the defender feature in City’s Sky Bet League One fixture at Port Vale on Saturday, Eyoma will have played 100 games in all competitions for the Imps.
He said: “It is a good achievement for me to play 100 games. I cannot quite believe it and the time has gone by quickly. It is something that I am proud of and I would like to thank Lincoln for giving me the platform to play league football.
“Hopefully I can get many more games under my belt for the club and finish as high as possible this season. I have been working hard in training and I feel like that is showing in games.”
The Imps have conceded just one goal from their last five games in all competitions and Eyoma has said that the hard work on the training ground has played a big part in this.
He continued: “We have won 1-0 in the last couple of away matches. In the last 20 minutes of those games, the opposition have been pushing hard, but we have dug deep and stayed strong - which is where we have earned our clean sheets.
“This season we have become a lot stronger defensively and seem to have conceded less goals. We work hard during the week and that has been good. Clean sheets are very important to us.”
