Matty Virtue signed for the Imps on a season-long loan from Blackpool at the beginning of September and has settled into life in Lincolnshire quickly.
The 25-year-old midfielder has featured in every league game since signing for City and has spoken about how pleased he is to be playing regular football once again.
He said: “I am really enjoying it at Lincoln. It has been a breath of fresh air for me after being at Blackpool for three-and-a-half years. Sometimes a change of scenery is good, and I am loving it here.
“I had a tough time last season with injury and worked really hard to come back fit. I featured a couple of times last year, but I just love playing consistently.
“The head coach and the staff here have shown great faith in me so far and I have played every week. I am hoping that continues because I am enjoying playing football again.”
Virtue has explored parts of Lincolnshire and enjoyed trips to Lincoln Cathedral and Castle since making the move in the summer. After growing up on Merseyside, the 25-year-old is happy in his new surroundings.
He said: “I have spent a bit of time in and around the city, it is nice and I really like it. Obviously, it's different as Liverpool is my home because that’s where I grew up.
“It is a change but I'm embracing it and enjoying it. When I took the dog up by the castle and cathedral, she enjoyed it. It is nice to go and explore somewhere new.”
