Max Sanders is keen to build on what he felt was City’s best performance of the season in the draw with league leaders Plymouth Argyle.
Saturday's stalemate ensured City are still unbeaten at home in the league, and Sanders feels the Imps showed plenty of character.
He said: “It was a great game and I think we should’ve won - it’s the best we’ve played this season and really good game to play.
“Every game against the big teams we seem so on it, and it showed again. We found the space and we won back the ball a lot. If we took the chances, we'd win. The game plan worked really well.”
The Imps host Morecambe next Saturday, and Sanders is looking to extend the unbeaten home run in Sky Bet League One.
He added: “We are going into the next game against Morecambe to be like we were here. If we play anywhere near what we play here, we can get something out of the game.
“I’ve shown what I can do which is a positive for me and to keep playing at that standard.”
