Mark Kennedy has applauded the atmosphere supporters created at the LNER Stadium.
The Imps secured an important point against league leaders Plymouth Argyle on Saturday and the vocal backing from the City supporters did not go unnoticed by Kennedy.
He said: “It is one of the best atmospheres I have experienced in football. You do not have to play at Wembley in front of 80,000 people to have a great atmosphere.
“It is what’s generated inside the ground and this is one of the best experiences I have had. It was top class.”
Alongside the atmosphere, the head coach was proud of how his side performed as they extended their unbeaten run at home in the league.
He added: “I thought the performance was excellent. It is a good point against a good team, but you still want to win your home games.
“We actually walked away from the game a bit disappointed we didn’t win. Plymouth are on an incredible run but we felt like we deserved to win on clear-cut chances created. It was an excellent performance.”
