City will head to Southampton in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
The Imps reached the fourth round of the competition with wins at Doncaster Rovers, Barrow and Bristol City.
Southampton beat Sheffield Wednesday on penalties on Tuesday night, having beaten Cambridge United when they entered the competition in the second round.
Ties will be played either Tuesday December 20 or Wednesday December 21.
