The Imps have moved up one position to become the fifth best club in the country for fan engagement in the latest Fan Engagement Index for the 2020/21 season.
Fan Insights recently released their Fan Engagement Index for the 2020/21 campaign, rating every professional club in the top four divisions of English football. Each club is measured on their relationship with their supporters, with ratings given for dialogue, governance, and transparency.
After finishing sixth in the 2019/20 rankings, City have moved up one position to fifth place with a score of 165, higher than any Premier League or Sky Bet Championship side. This also sees the Imps finish as the second-highest Sky Bet League One.
Our score breakdown for the 2020/21 index sees the club secure first place for Dialogue with 75 points.
Further positive feedback has been received with the club gaining two positions in the Governance category, finishing 9th place with 50 points. Standards have also remained high with Transparency as we remain in 6th Place with a score of 45 points.
Imps chief executive Liam Scully said: “Following the announcement of the latest Fan Engagement Index, we are proud to see that we have been ranked in the top five football clubs in the country, above all sides from the Premier League and Championship.
“With the football club having a high involvement in the community of Lincolnshire, we have a duty to be as transparent as we can, ultimately bringing supporters closer to the club.
“The last three Fan Engagement Indexes have seen the football club achieve improvements to our score, this comes down to the hard work seen in ongoing projects and groups such as the supporters board which allows fans to have their say in decision making and shape the future of Lincoln City.
“We will continue to work hard and raise standards to ensure that the experience supporters have in following the Imps is as high as possible.”
