City have appointed Mike Garrity as assistant head coach.
Garrity spent 13 years coaching at Liverpool, holding a number of roles including professional development phase coach for the U23 side where he oversaw the development of 19 players who went on to make first-team appearances for the club.
He went on to join the coaching staff at Norwegian top flight side Molde and the China national team. He returned to the UK in 2020 to join Blackpool as assistant head coach, helping the Seasiders win promotion to the Sky Bet Championship. He continued in that role as Blackpool finished 16th last season.
Imps head coach Mark Kennedy said: “We are delighted to have secured someone of his calibre and pedigree. Mike brings some really valuable coaching experience to the club.
"He has knowledge of this league and the one above from his previous role as well as a track record in developing young players, which fits the ethos of our club. He will fit in perfectly and will also help to mentor Tom Shaw, who has joined the first team coaching staff from our Academy.”
