Morgan Whittaker feels he has settled quickly into life as an Imp after a whirlwhind first week at the club.
The forward, on loan from Swansea City, made a goalscoring debut against Oxford last weekend and followed that up with an impressive performance in the win at Sunderland.
“The gaffer and everybody at the club have helped me out massively and I feel comfortable within the squad and with what my role in the team is," he said.
“I feel settled. I’ve only been here for a short time but I feel like I’ve been here longer. The lads have been really good to me, they’ve welcomed me in and so I’m glad to be a part of this group, it 100% feels like the right decision for me."
With victories in both his City outings so far, Whittaker says confidence is high in the squad.
“The mood is good: a win will always help that because it provides a stepping stone for us to build on as we head into a run of fixtures,"he added.
“But the fans will also be a massive factor because it can be hard when results aren’t necessarily going your way, so the supporters help you through that when they’re loud, so their presence is huge for us.”
