John Marquis is enjoying the pressure of leading the line for the Imps as he looks to build on his impressive start to life in Lincolnshire.
The forward has bagged three goals in his first four appearances for City, and is keen to add to his tally as Wycombe Wanderers and his former club Doncaster Rovers head to the LNER Stadium in the coming days.
He said: "The saying I live by is pressure is a privilege, other people would love to be in our position as professional footballers. You can't over or under hype any game, but we know the importance of these coming up.
"We need to be playing feeling but recognise the pressure that comes with winning, we must expect good standards of ourselves and work hard for each other."
The 29-year-old joined the club in January, and has been impressed with the setup both at the ground and at the Soper of Lincoln Elite Performance Centre.
He added: "The gaffer has been really good, I was taken back by his ideas and the way he is. He is very calm and focused in the moment - his attention to detail is very good and he leaves no stone untuned in preparing us for the game.
"We have players coming back and the manager has players to pick from in almost every position. The place is upbeat and that puts us in a good place to attack the rest of the season."
