TJ Eyoma is pleased with the battling spirit shown by his team-mates as City extended their unbeaten home league run to 11 matches.
The Imps closed out the year with a 1-1 draw against Bolton Wanderers and the 22-year-old has praised the way the team handled the late pressure that came their way.
He said: “It was a crazy game from start to finish. We started off well but unfortunately conceded midway through the second half. I thought we dug deep to get the draw.
“We are tough to beat at home and are still unbeaten so long may they continue.”
Eyoma made his first league start since mid-December on Friday night and the defender is hoping the work he continues to put in on the training ground will see him add to his appearance tally.
He added: “Nobody wants to sit on the bench but I have been working hard in training so that when the gaffer needs me, I am always ready to go.
“First half we were good out of possession and we have worked hard in training so we all knew our roles.
“We will take the point and move onto the next game against Ipswich Town on Monday.”
