City’s Jack Diamond has expressed his excitement ahead of a busy fixture schedule as the Imps gear up for the festive period.
The forward has outlined the squad’s intentions to tackle each match one fixture at a time with the self-belief to collect as many points as possible.
Diamond said: “Everyone knows it’s a big month but it’s very exciting. All of the lads are aware it will be big for us and it could set us up for a positive season, and that’s exciting.
“We might well be the underdogs in some of the games, but we will go into each of them believing we can win. We don’t overestimate or underestimate any opponent, we just take it all one game at a time and we will see where we end up.”
On a personal note, the Sunderland loanee is pleased with his development which he credits to the gametime given to him so far this season.
He added: “I’ve got personal goals but ultimately I wanted to come and add to the team and at the moment, it’s going very well.
“We’ve got a great squad and even for the players on the bench, they can come on and make a difference. Everyone knows their place isn’t solidified and every player is hungry so there is a good competitiveness in the team.”
