Carl Rushworth is eager to extend City’s unbeaten run to three games as he eyes up Saturday’s fixture against Forest Green Rovers.
The 21-year-old is taking confidence from the recent performances at Portsmouth and Doncaster Rovers as the build up to this weekend's match continues.
He said: “I am really pleased with how I have started. You cannot ask for much more as a goalkeeper. I have not had a lot to do but the team have helped me out.
“I think that our performance against Doncaster was perfect as we showed that we can score goals. We now need to replicate that on Saturday in the league."
Rushworth is also determined to improve his technical ability as the season progresses.
He added: “I feel that I have always been comfortable with the ball at my feet although there are still a lot of areas for me to improve.
“Decision making is important and it is good to have a clear understanding of what you will be doing, and to commit to it.”
