City defender, Jamie Robson, is eager for a positive run of games to build on the unbeaten start to the season.
The full-back is expecting a tough test against Oxford United on Tuesday evening, but believes his side are capable of getting a result at the Kassam Stadium.
He said: “It’s been a good start and we’ve got good foundations to build on so hopefully we can kick on now to get three points.
“We want to test ourselves against the best sides and we know Oxford are one of the top teams in the league so it will be tough, but we know what is expected of ourselves.”
The Scotsman has started every game in the league to date and says he takes pride in his defending. He is aware, however, of the strong competition for places within the squad.
He added: “I like to get forward, but first and foremost my job is to defend and I enjoy that part of the game equally.
“I’ve had chance to build up relationships with people you’re playing with every week, but there is a lot of competition outside of the starting players ,so it shows how good the squad is.
“Every day in training you have to make sure you work hard to fight for your place.”
