Unveiled as the Imps’ first recruit in the summer, Paudie O’Connor has had time to settle into Lincoln and says he has had plenty of positive experiences with supporters in the ground and out in the city.
The Irishman has featured in all three of City’s games so far this season and is enjoying life in Lincolnshire.
He said: “We’ve had a couple of sponsor events and had the opportunity to meet the supporters, everyone has been very welcoming so from that regard it’s been really good. I’ve had a few afternoons out and around the city centre too and it seems like a really nice place to be
“I had my parents there for the first game of the season and they too were very complimentary of everyone they met and had nothing but good things to say about their experiences,”
With a warm welcome from Imps supporters helping the Irishman to settle off the pitch, he says this has helped him start working towards his aims for the season on it.
He added: “With the amount of work we’re getting through on the training pitch, I feel as though I’m improving and learning every day from all the staff so it’s been very enjoyable and for many young players' wanting to improve, it seems like the place to be.
“My most obvious aim is to play as many games as I can, and then as a collective we want to be as competitive as we can to finish as high up the league table as possible.”
