Mark Kennedy has said that his side is ready to face the challenges of Portsmouth, having come from behind to earn a point against Exeter City last weekend.
Kennedy has expressed that his team have been working hard during the week and will be prepared for what is to come at Pompey.
He said: “They have a brilliant stadium and it will be a stunning atmosphere. It will be a high octane game and we know what we are going to get.
“We have worked hard this week and have prepared for it. We have a game plan in and out of possession and it is something that we are really looking forward to.”
The Imps head coach has stressed the importance of starting well on Saturday at Fratton Park.
He added: “The key component to any game is how you start. It does not have to be the first header or first tackle, it can be your first move or the way you pass the ball with intent behind it.
“I think Portsmouth are a very good side and have brilliant experience. They are a very well-drilled team and I would imagine that they will be looking at the top six this season.”
