Mark Kennedy is expecting a tough game against promotion hopefuls Oxford United on Tuesday evening.
The Imps travel to the Kassam Stadium on the back of an unbeaten start to the season, and Kennedy says his side will be well-prepared for the match.
He said: “We can’t be arrogant or ignorant enough to think we have any easy games in this league. That’s one thing I’m sure off. But undoubtedly this will be a tough game.
“They are an excellent footballing side and are always there or thereabouts, but ultimately we will have to focus on ourselves and we will have a game plan.”
The Imps were forced into an early change on Saturday, which provided an opportunity to hand a City debut to Jordon Garrick which Kennedy says he was pleased with.
He added: “It wasn’t planned, but I think you can see what Jordon offers us.
“The key thing for Jordon as he’s behind everyone in terms of minutes, is to get him onto the pitch. So, I think like a racehorse he’s better for it.”
