Kennedy looking to maintain momentum

Head coach Mark Kennedy says everyone has a role to play as he looks to maintain the momentum of City’s unbeaten start to the season.

Kennedy has been pleased with the implementation of his philosophy by his players, and has seen improvements in each match.
He said: “Our philosophy and mindset starts with how we want to do things - we are slowly but steadily trying to implement things.

“A good example is how Oxford played out from the goal kick on Tuesday. We went with a specific way of pressing which was very aggressive, and people had specific roles.
“When we did it on the day before the game, the opposition scored at the other end. So, the point is that these things take time, but we are continuing to evolve.”

The Imps travel to the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday to face high-flying Peterborough United, with Kennedy expecting another tough test for his side.
He added: “Peterborough are a very good team from the keeper to the top line. They are very experienced, and their manager is too. You can see from how they started this season that they will be right up there at the end.”
