Regan Poole is feeling right at home in Lincolnshire after establishing himself as an ever-present in the starting line-up.
The right-back has featured in every minute of ever match of City’s Sky Bet League One campaign this season, and dramatically grabbed his first goal to seal Saturday’s 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic.
He said: “Having played every game this season, I feel like I have been improving since I joined all the way back in January. It was quite tough at the start, I’ve never really moved in January before, and it is a little bit more difficult than moving in the summer.
“You want to play as many matches as you can and, luckily, I’m doing that this season so hopefully it can stay that way.”
Poole should have plenty of years ahead of him in the professional ranks, but achieved a personal milestone earlier this season when he captained the Imps against Burton Albion.
He added: “It was the first time I’ve been captain in a senior game and it was a privilege and an honour.
"I’m still only 23, so to say I’ve captained this Football Club at this age is a great thing and I will look back with pride.”
