Michael Appleton hailed Saturday’s victory over Charlton Athletic as his side’s best performance of the season.
A Regan Poole header secured the three points for the Imps, and Appleton felt the result was thoroughly deserved
He said: “We dominated the game from the first minute and from a performance point of view it was our best of the season. We were good in the first half and excellent in the second half.
“I think you’ve seen over the past two performances here what these players are capable of.”
Appleton says morale in the camp is high ahead of Tuesday’s visit of AFC Wimbledon.
He added: “They’re full of energy, Wimbledon. It will be a difficult game for us but one we will clearly be up for and the confidence will be sky-high.
“Even when we haven’t been at our best we’ve been in games and we’ve competed, so we’re more than capable of giving them a good game.”
