A brace from Oisin Gallagher helped the Imps' U18s to a commanding win over Burton Albion at Riseholme College.
Oisin Gallager scored in the 35th-minute to open the scoring and grabbed himself another in the 65th. Shadow Scholar Elicha Ahui chipped in with a goal in the 52nd minute and Kyrell Wheatley rounded off a good day's work in the 80th.
Ash Foyle was delighted with the performance of his side, and the determination the young Imps showed to close out the game with the clean sheet intact.
He said: "It was a commanding performance with some excellent moments and positive play. We were able to dominate possession and show confidence and composure to keep finding a way through a strong Burton team.
"There are still areas that we need to continue to work on to ensure we are not allowing the opposition the chance to put us under pressure or gift any opportunities but we defended the box well to keep our clean sheet intact.
"The most pleasing thing is we have such a hungry and determined group. That keeps everyone pushing hard to find their place in the team and they are constantly striving to be better, which is the only thing that we demand."
