Max Sanders' strike was enough to send City into the second round of the Emirates FA Cup.
His winning goal was the perfect way to celebrate his return to the starting line-up after a frustrating season hit by injuries, and ensured the Imps are in the draw for the second round.
The Imps were good value for the win, and had it not been for some determined defending and an impressive performance from visiting keeper Mitchell Beeney they could have won by a much wider margin - with 22 shots on goal, nine of which were on target, as well as 11 corners.
Attendance: 5,849 (490 away)
