Ash Foyle was pleased with the Under 18's after the registered a 2-1 victory over Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
With the international break in full swing Freddie Draper remained with the youth side, and rather unsurprisingly got a goal, with Morgan Worsfold-Gregg also getting on the scoresheet.
Lead phase coach Ash Foyle said: “It's a pleasing result that we were probably fortunate to be the right side of as Huddersfield are a good team and were better for some periods of the game.
"That is not a surprise considering the make up of our team with a fair chunk of the lads unavailable - we had two U14s, an u15 and some u16 trialists. It's fantastic for them to not only gain the experience but to survive it and come away with a positive result.
"We had some good moments in the game but plenty of areas left to still work on and have to ensure we have good habits and make better decisions throughout the game."
