Sean Roughan has received his first call-up to the Republic of Ireland U21 squad at just 18 years of age.
The Ireland squad will play three friendlies in six days as they face Switzerland, Australia and Denmark in Marbella, Spain.
Sean has made a total of 11 appearances for the Imps this season, playing at both left back and centre back, with six Sky Bet League One starts and was the youngest player to feature in this season’s Carabao Cup at 17 years and five days.
Due to the Imps' Sky Bet League One Play-off Final, Ireland have kindly allowed Sean to stay with the club until Sunday, after which he will join their squad on Monday ahead of their final two fixtures.
